Shalom’s Safe Congregations Committee exists to hear concerns about inappropriate sexual conduct, violence, intimidation, or physical abuse by child-care workers, teachers, or others in the congregation. Please feel free to be in touch with any of them.

During 2016, a team of Shalom members participated in the Safe Church training through the Collins Center of Harrisonburg. Shalom’s Safe Congregation Policy was officially adopted on May 21, 2017, and was last revised in April of 2022. Implementation of the policy continues.
